Role summary 

Human Factor Engineer helps to guide and validate the hyperloop pod & station designs created by the Infrastructure Team’s Human Experience division. Primary tasks will involve summarizing and selecting the technical details of UTHT’s engineering subdivisions relevant to human experiences and modifying and evaluating the human factors throughout all possible complete trip experience in riding the Hyperloop.  


  • Maintain weekly updates with the relevant engineering subdivisions by summarizing, selecting, and updating the technical details to share them with the Human Experience division 
  • Provide feedbacks to the (pod and/or station) prototypes Human Experience designers created to ensure the design, which is modified from the engineering team’s technical information, is optimized for human experience 


  • Background in human factor engineering 
  • Willing to put in consistent time and effort (5~6 hours per week) 
  • Detail-oriented, double check work for mistakes 
  • Excellent research, verbal & written communication skills 
  • Strong sense of self-initiative 
  • Highly organized, motivated, and is passionate about the Hyperloop project and aspires to make it work
